It's Official!

So i figured that i better start blogging now. I promised myself that I wouldn't do it until I got married. Well now that I am engaged I thought I better start so that Lindsay can show me around this blog and I can someday be as good as she is! Now for the big story...

I am engaged!!!

I have been dating Lyle since the end of February. Literally, the 28th of February!!! The singles ward was going to a hockey game and I said that I would go. Who doesn't like hockey, right??? Anyways, I got put in charge of taking people in my car and driving them to Spokane. President Fletcher ( the singles branch president) told me who i would be taking and i knew them all except one guy named Lyle from Sandpoint. I started thinking, "Who the heck is Lyle from Sandpoint?" I had never met the guy before and I was afraid that my whole car would be weirdos that I really didn't hang out with and that the night was going to be a bust. Well I got to the church and met with the only girl that was riding with me and then there was a guy in a truck. I told the girl to go over and see who he was. I was not about to get out of the warm comfort of my car and she was closer. So it was Lyle and he came and sat in the car with us while we waited for everyone else. He didn't talk that much. We got to the hockey game and he sat next to me. I was alright with that. I thought he was cute! So we sat next to each other for the whole game and just started talking. It was great! I wanted to get to know him better! So then a group of people decided that they wanted to go to dockside and get gooeys. I was all up for that so i told everyone in my car that they should go. Lyle came! I was super excited! I parked in the parking garage and he parked in the outside parking and as i was coming into Dockside i saw him coming out looking for me! How sweet huh? Then he sat next to me at Dockside and we just hit it off from there! We kind of have been inseperable ever since! Then about two weeks ago, he was down here for church and we went to a big family dinner for the graduates. It was so much fun! Then Lyle and I decided to leave a little early and we walked home. When we got home he asked me if I wanted to go for a walk. I said sure and we walked down to Hayden Lake. As we were looking at the Lake he tuned to me and said, "Darbye Kathleen Griffitts. Will you marry me?". I think I took about half a second to say yes! We are gettting married August 8th in the Spokane Washington Temple and I am so excited! He is the best guy ever and his family is amazing! I am so excited I get to be with my best friend forever!!!! YAY!!!!!
