IT'S A BABY!!!!!

Yesterday Lyle and I went to the baby doctor and we got to have our 20 week ultra sound. The coolest part was that we found out that we are having a baby GIRL!!!! I am very excited! She is really cute and we got some really great profile pictures of her! She is 7 in and 11 oz. Lyle said she was a steak. The doctor responded that he shouldn't eat the steak yet, wait until it gets bigger! I was just laughing and realized then how much I love my husband! He comes from a family of 8.. all boys.. .and so I am very excited to see him with a little girl. He will be a great dad, I am just sure of it!

Christmas, New Years and a whole new beginning!

So I was going to put all the pictures from Christmas on here, but either the camera or the computer are not cooperating! Sorry Lindsay, I promise that you will get those Christmas Pictures soon! So Lyle and I spent Christmas with my parents down in Hayden. We spent Christmas Eve with the Griffitts Family. I am so used to it being filled with people, and it was a little smaller this year, but we were excited to spend it with family. Then we got to spend Christmas with my parents, Lindsay, Riley, Ava, and Viviann! It was so much fun! I think one of the best parts was when I was down stairs watching cartoons with Ava and I came upstairs and saw Lyle playing with Viviann on the couch while Lindsay was doing my Mom's hair. I can't believe that I married someone that is so good with kids! Lindsay told me later that he was having so much fun with Viviann just sitting there and that he was great with her even when she was getting a little hungry! I can't wait until he gets one of his own!
New Years was good. Lyle and I decided to stay home and have a movie night. He also went out and bought Mc Duffs for dinner, which are amazing hamburgers and they brew their own root beer! It was so much fun and so good just to be together! Then I woke up on Friday, so excited for football and I was sick, sick, sick! I had a bad headache, cough, cold, and it just wasn't fun! So I am still recovering from that today, but getting better! I am so excited for the new year! It's going to be so much fun and full of new adventures! I hope you all had a safe and fun New Years!

Christmas Surprises!

 MY TREE!!!!

Well Christmas time is officially here and I am super excited. There is no other holiday that I love more than Christmas! What I didn't know is that as much as I LOVE Christmas, I married a man that is a Scrooge. I wish I was exaggerating. Riley and Bud will actually listen to Christmas music. I have to listen to Christmas music when Lyle isn't home! I was impressed that he did get us a Christmas Tree though. He asked why I wanted one since we won't even be home for Christmas, but he totally missed the idea! I have to have a Christmas tree. It's just what you do! I am excited that this year he is going along with it for the most part, but he is still a scrooge. Oh well. I guess I love scrooge then! Here are some pictures of our Christmas Tree that he went out with his brother and dad for 3 hours to find the best Christmas tree for us. He really is amazing, even if he is a scrooge!

I love my Mountain Man!

The Tree on the porch. I LOVE IT!

And if that isn't enough surprises for you.... Lyle and I are going to have a baby in JULY!!!!! I am way excited that I am now feeling better and have a belly. SOOO If you see me this Christmas I have an excuse to have a belly! HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!

Thanksgiving

So Lyle and I had an amazing Thanksgiving. We spent Thanksgiving with Momma and Poppa Vaniman eating turkey, stuffing, and mashed potatoes. I got to make home made rolls (thanks Aunt Sandy for the amazing recipe from the Griffitts Family Cookbook! Your rolls are the best!) and a salad. It was a great dinner and I am grateful for the relaxing day that we had with family. Friday we went down to go shopping at Pier 1 since we still had a gift certificate from them and their ornaments were on sale, and let's face it, I need ornaments for my tree. I am a newlywed and ornaments, however small they may be, are a big part of a christmas tree. So i got some cute red, silver, and gold ornaments, and a little angel to put on top! I am so excited to start decorating as soon as we get a tree! Then it was over to Mom and Dad Griffitts house for a night of breaking into tree festivals, eating some good food at Dockside, and watching some amazing fireworks and christmas lights! I was just sad the barge didn't catch on fire! I guess every fireworks show can't live up to the Fourth of July on Hayden Lake three or four years ago! My favorite part of the night was being with family. I have missed seeing Aunt Sandy, Uncle Alan, Brad, Jessie, Tawni, Ryan, and Aiden so much! They invited Lyle and I over to watch Christmas Vacation that night and it was amazing! I don't think I have laughed that hard in a LONG time! I just can't wait until we get to watch it with Trevor, Heather, and Bud! We stayed the night at Mom and Dad's because they had a room at the resort and then spent Saturday watching football and shopping for some more gifts for christmas. I have to say, work this morning was way boring compared to the fun weekend that I got to have with my family. I love you guys so much! Thanks for all the love, support, and lasting memories that we get to make every year! I LOVE THE HOLIDAYS!!!!!

Rexburg or BUST!!!!!

So here are the pictures that we took in Rexburg for Viviann's blessing. It was so much fun to visit family and especially the eight hour car ride. Ok, maybe the car ride wasn't so much fun, but having Mom, Lyle and I in a car together is kinda fun! I would recommend it to anyone. So Lyle, Mom and I left on Friday morning to go to Rexburg to visit Riley, Lindsay, Ava, Viviann, and Dad for the weekend. Dad was in Boise and drove to Rexburg and met the rest of us there. Needless to say it was a typical Griffitts' vacation. We all drive and Dad flies down there to meet us. What else is new? It was a lot of fun! We got to eat at Craigo's on friday night, went shopping for toilet paper and hair extensions on Saturday and Lindsay was so nice to color and cut Mom's hair and to just cut mine for me. Disclaimer: Lindsay is not responsible for Lyle's hair. He grew that on his own! Then we visited some of Lyle's friends in Rexburg (yes Lyle does have some friends of his that I didn't introduce him too), and then we came back and watched football and Ice Age 3. Dawn of the Dinosaurs! Needless to say it was an exciting and amazing trip. The blessing was amazing and Viviann couldn't be more perfect. Lyle and I are still missing Ava. She just cracks us up everytime we visit and she is definitely missed by her favorite aunt and uncle! Just kidding Heather, she loves us all, and we all know that Tamar always wins the favorite anything. She's the best! We love family! Have a great day and I hope all is well!

End of Soccer Season

GO SPIDER MONKEYS!!!!!!

So I have been a slacker blogger, but in reality our lives are just so exciting that I have no idea what to blog about! So I decided today that I would take pictures of Lyle's last soccer game and let you know how the Spider Monkeys did this season. It was a good season, full of highs and lows, and all in just a month or so! Lyle liked coaching soccer, it was a good learning experience for him, but he said that it might take him a couple years to volunteer again. I understand, because it was a lot of time commitments! Well they finished the day 1-2, and they won because the other team had to forfeit! They had a great season and they all learned a lot! As for me, I am just working and enjoying the time that I get to have with my husband. My cub scout co-leader just moved to Utah and left me here, so I am anxiously awaiting a replacement so that I can get back to being a fearless leader! We are having a great time here in Sandpoint and are enjoying the ups and downs of living in such a small town! I love you all and hope all are well!

Coach Lyle

So here are some amazing pictures of last weeks soccer game. Coach Vaniman and Coach Dennis with their team the Spider Monkeys! He is doing a really good job and making the boys run a lot. He coaches two boys in our ward and I was talking to one of them on Thursday about practice and his dad said that when he picked him up he said soccer practice was really hard! I heard Lyle and Morgan were going to make them rum this week, and they really did! I am so proud of my Coach Lyle!
